Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta Full Day

This tour is ideal for people interested in the history of the Vietnam War or seeking a day vacation near Ho Chi Minh City. The journey brings you to two major tourist attractions: the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

The Cu Chi Tunnels, also known as the “iron triangle” during the Vietnam War, are a network of subterranean tunnels that served as a military base for resistance against US forces. Cu Chi was originally known as the “dead land” that had been ravaged by millions of bombs. Today, however, the region is still alive, combining renowned historical structures with Vietnamese culture.

The Mekong Delta is known as “the rice bowl” of Vietnam due to the seemingly endless fields of rice. In this water world, you will see houses and markets floating along the river. This is a fabulous destination for those who want to experience the humble beauty of the Mekong Delta, get closer to nature, and meet the hospitable people of this region.

07h00: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel or 219 Pham Ngu Lao Street, Ben Thanh District and travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The journey will take roughly one and a half hours.

• Watch a short documentary film about Cu Chi during the war.
• Visit the woody traps used during wartime.
• Crawl through the tunnels.
• Taste the traditional cuisine, cassava with sesame, and sip panda green tea. 
• Travelers can turn back the clock and be a real guerrilla and fire AK-47s, M16s and other guns. (Cost of this must be covered by guest)

11h30: Arrive to a restaurant to have lunch. Take a rest

12h30 – 14h30: Arriving in My Tho, get on the motorboat along the Tien River

14h45: Stop at Thoi Son Island (Unicorn Island) – one of the four islands on the Tien River. It’s the most visited island because it gives travelers a real taste of life in the Mekong Delta.

• Enjoy tropical fruits in the orchard.
• Listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn ca tài tử). In 2013, it was inscribed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
• Experience a hand-rowing sampan ride through narrow canals shaded by water coconut trees.
• Enjoy honey tea with lime at a local bee farm.

16h00 – 18h00: Return to the pier and go back to Ho Chi Minh City. Farewell, and see you again.

Cancellation policy for deposited Tours:
a. If you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded
b. If you are a “no-show” on the morning of the trip, for whatever reason, you will lose your deposit

Cancellation policy for full charged Tours:
a. Up to 48 hours before the start of the activity: full refund
b. Less than 48 hours before the start of the activity or in the event of a no-show: no refund
c. Flight delayed, food poisoning, getting sick unable to attend tour. Under those circumstances, we agree to reschedule your start date with an additional charge of 50% of the total tour cost
d. The refund is done using the same payment method. In the event of credit cards which are charged monthly, the amount shall be credited at the end of the current invoicing period. The exact time of the refund depends on the user’s credit card agreement. The refund by bank transfer shall be done within seven bank working days.
