Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: SAIGON – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Morning: Depart at 7:15 AM from the South Asia Travel Company office, beginning the trip to My Tho (approximately 80km from Ho Chi Minh City).

Upon arriving at the rest stop, guests will have breakfast, rest, and then continue their sightseeing tour.

• Vinh Trang Pagoda: A unique pagoda showcasing a blend of Eastern and Western cultures. Not only does it boast unique architecture, but the pagoda is also enormous in scale and features stunning scenery that has stood for three centuries.
• Arrive at My Tho Marina, board a large boat to visit the floating fish farms on the Mekong River, learn about the local fish farming industry, and admire the Rach Mieu Bridge.
• Passing through Thoi Son islet (Lan islet), tourists can stroll along the village paths, explore and learn about the lives of the local people, visit fruit orchards, enjoy seasonal fruits, and listen to Southern Vietnamese folk music.
• Next, you will visit a honey bee farm and enjoy lemon honey tea. Afterwards, you will experience the flavors of the Mekong Delta by sitting in a rowboat, navigating through small canals, admiring the rows of natural water coconut trees and the simple scenery of the orchards.
• Returning to the larger boat, sailing down the Tien River, you will arrive in Ben Tre province, where you will visit a coconut candy factory, a Ben Tre specialty, and a rice paper factory in Tan Thach commune. Lunch will be served at a restaurant.
• After lunch, guests can cycle along the village roads or stroll along, immersing themselves in the local life and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the coconut region. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Tan Thach commune to admire the fruit orchards and the peaceful life of the coconut people. Visit a crocodile farm and try crocodile fishing.

3:00 PM: Return to the pier – board the bus to continue to Can Tho.

5:00 PM: Arrive in Can Tho, check into your hotel, and rest.

Evening: Guests will enjoy dinner on a cruise ship on the Can Tho River, listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music and savoring local specialties such as grilled field mouse with chili and salt, steamed prawns with beer, grilled snakehead fish, grilled snails with pepper, and deep-fried elephant ear fish…

• After dinner, guests are free to stroll along Ninh Kieu Wharf. Overnight stay in Can Tho.

DAY 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CON SON ISLAND – SAIGON (Breakfast, Lunch)

Morning: Car and tour guide will take you to Ninh Kieu pier to visit Cai Rang floating market.

• Witness the bustling trading scene on the river – a characteristic feature of the riverine markets in the Mekong Delta.
• Guests can directly purchase fruits from boats at the floating market, visit a noodle factory and see various dried specialty products, then return to the hotel for breakfast and check out.
• The tour bus will take you to the pier, where you will board a boat to Con Son Island, a peaceful island rising from the Hau River, surrounded by mangrove trees on all sides. Here, you can check in and take photos of the lush green orchards along the way. Especially, you can experience unique activities such as watching flying snakehead fish, rowing a traditional sampan boat, drinking lotus tea, taking photos of fruit orchards (grapefruit, guava, longan, rambutan), posing by pink lotus ponds, and visiting the dolphin breeding farm on the Hau River.

Lunch: Guests will enjoy a lunch featuring the local specialty, snakehead fish from Son Island, dipped in fermented rice sauce and served with water spinach and other local delicacies.

2:00 PM: Guests board the bus and depart for Saigon, concluding the 2-day, 1-night Mekong Delta tour.

5:30 PM: Arrive back in Saigon. We look forward to seeing you on future tours.
