Mekong Delta 1 Day (My Tho – Ben Tre)

The Mekong Delta, located in southern Vietnam, is a vast and vibrant region known for its intricate network of waterways, lush green landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. It is formed by the Mekong River as it splits into a complex web of tributaries, creating a delta region that covers approximately 40,000 square kilometers.

07h30: Our Tour Guide will welcome you at the meeting location – 219 Pham Ngu Lao, District 1, HCMC or your hotel and depart for My Tho. On the way, the tour guide will share interesting stories about the culture and daily life of Southern Vietnam.

09h30: Arriving in My Tho, get on the motorboat along the Tien River

10h00: Stop at Thoi Son Island (Unicorn Island) – one of the four islands on the Tien River. It’s the most visited island because it gives travelers a real taste of life in the Mekong Delta.

• Enjoy tropical fruits in the orchard.
• Listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn ca tài tử). In 2013, it was inscribed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
• Experience a hand-rowing sampan ride through narrow canals shaded by water coconut trees.
• Enjoy honey tea with lime at a local bee farm.

12h00: Arriving in Ben Tre – land of coconuts, get on the motorboat along the Tien River

12h15: Take horses as transportation to go to the restaurant to have lunch with Mekong Delta specialties. Take some time to relax.

13h30: Experience a motorboat through narrow canals shaded by water coconut trees and visit a coconut candy workshop, watch the process of making candy, and taste fresh products.

14h30: Return to the pier and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda – the largest and most famous pagoda, featuring a unique blend of Asian and European architecture and giant Buddha statues.

15h30 – 17h00: Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Farewell, and see you again

Cancellation policy for deposited Tours:
a. If you cancel your booking, your deposit will not be refunded
b. If you are a “no-show” on the morning of the trip, for whatever reason, you will lose your deposit

Cancellation policy for full charged Tours:
a. Up to 48 hours before the start of the activity: full refund
b. Less than 48 hours before the start of the activity or in the event of a no-show: no refund
c. Flight delayed, food poisoning, getting sick unable to attend tour. Under those circumstances, we agree to reschedule your start date with an additional charge of 50% of the total tour cost
d. The refund is done using the same payment method. In the event of credit cards which are charged monthly, the amount shall be credited at the end of the current invoicing period. The exact time of the refund depends on the user’s credit card agreement. The refund by bank transfer shall be done within seven bank working days.
